Being a Supply Chain Management Consultant at WorkinWith
The Supply Chain Management Consultant is part of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management ERP implementation projects and implements the Procurement, Master Planning, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Sales and Marketing, and Product Information Management modules.
His/here missions within a project are multiple:
- Gather customer requirements during design workshops and compare them to standard functionalities to propose the best solution in D365, with the help of the solution architect.
- Write the detailed functional specifications for the specific developments requested by the customer.
- Test the specific developments delivered by the technical consultants.
- Parameterize the solution according to the customer’s needs, and test this parameterization.
- Accompany the client during the User Acceptance Tests phase.
- Accompany the client in the execution of the data migration from the legacy system(s) by providing the import templates and importing the data prepared by the client into the target system.
- Provide close support during the hypercare phase after the project has gone live.
To carry out these missions, the Supply Chain Management Consultant must possess a range of skills:
- Communication, writing, and synthesis skills.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more modules of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
- The ability to increase competence in functional areas that are not yet known.
- Business knowledge from previous consulting or end-user experience.
- Knowledge of how an ERP implementation project works using an agile method, particularly in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem.
- Ability to integrate and work as part of a team.
Autonomy in his/her activities and the ability to report to his/her manager the progress of his/her work and the possible problems affecting the project.
